Dr. Brad MacNeil, R. Psych

A registered Clinical Psychologist with the Nova Scotia Board of Examiners in Psychology (NSBEP; #R0912), Dr. MacNeil is the Provincial Clinical Leader - Education and Training Competencies for the Province of Nova Scotia. He is the founder and lead for the Provincial Center for Training, Education, and Learning (PCTEL) at the Nova Scotia Health Authority. Certified in cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) through the Canadian Association of Cognitive and Behavioural Therapies (CACBT). He provides broad administrative oversight for training, education, and learning provincially including direct consultation and training in Foundational Clinical Skills, CBT, DBT, and MI. 

 

He is an expert clinician in eating disorders, mood and anxiety disorders, and college student mental health. He works with children, adolescents and adults and has specialty training to provide evidence-based treatment using a variety of therapeutic modalities. He also has competence in school psychology and provides Psychoeducational Assessments for children, adolescents and adults at the private practice. 

 

Dr. MacNeil has experience across inpatient, day hospital and outpatient levels of care. As a published researcher he has presented his work and provides formal training to other mental health professionals nationally and internationally.
